Overview
Startup Ecosystem Tokyo Consortium aims to strengthen international competitiveness, create and grow startups, and ultimately realize sustainable development of Tokyo's economy by establishing Tokyo as a global hub city for startup ecosystems. We aim to. We also aim to implement innovations from the startup ecosystem into society and promote activities that give back to the local community.
In the latest 2022 ranking of GSER, which is a KPI of the Tokyo Consortium, Tokyo ranks 12th, dropping from 9th place last year.

At this event, in order to improve Tokyo's ranking in GSER, we will invite Ayumi Fujimoto of Plug and Play Japan Co., Ltd. to explain the characteristics of startup ecosystems in cities around the world.
In addition, a panel discussion was held with Professor Mirako Shimaoka of Waseda University, Soichi Tajima of Genesia Ventures, Inc., and Alex Taisuke Odashima of EDGEof INNOVATION LLC, to improve the GSER ranking based on the current situation and challenges of Tokyo's ecosystem. He will talk about Tokyo's efforts to achieve this goal. This is a valuable opportunity to hear from a leading expert on the potential of Tokyo's ecosystem in the future, so please join us!

Ayumi Fujimoto, Representative Director, Startup Ecosystem Association
After graduating from university, he worked in sales and as a manager at a recruitment advertising media before moving to Google in 2007. After working as an agency representative, he became a sales manager. Participated in Plug and Play Co., Ltd. from March 2018. He currently oversees marketing and PR as executive officer and CMO.
In March 2022, he established the Startup Ecosystem Association, a general incorporated association, and became the representative director.

CEO of EDGEof INNOVATION LLC
Mr. Alex Taisuke Odashima
As a business start-up expert, he has been involved in the launch of numerous startups and divisions of large companies.
Currently, as the CEO of EDGEof INNOVATION Co., Ltd., he is striving to internationalize Japan's innovation ecosystem and is working on various initiatives with the governments of more than 20 countries. J-Startup recommendation committee.

Waseda University Professor
Ms. Mirako Shimaoka
In 2011, he became an assistant at Waseda University's WBS Research Center, Faculty of Commerce, and an associate professor at the same university, before assuming his current position in 2021.
After being selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's EDGE Program and EDGE-NEXT Program, he has been involved in the operation of the "WASEDA-EDGE Human Resource Development Program" implemented at Waseda University, and has been serving as the executive director since 2019.

CEO of Genesia Ventures Co., Ltd.
Mr. Soichi Tajima
Involved in financing operations at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation for approximately 8 years.
Since 2010, as the representative director of CyberAgent Capital, he has been involved in expanding the investment area, formulating investment strategies, and making investment decisions for all projects, growing the company into a venture capital that can be used in Asia.
Founded Genesia Ventures Co., Ltd. in August 2016.
