Overview

TIB Premium Mentoring is an initiative that accelerates growth by providing promising domestic startups with personalized advice from top-tier executives and seasoned entrepreneurs.Three startups, including LIGHTs, were selected from numerous applicants to receive mentoring. For this inaugural session, the mentor was Audrey Tang, former Minister of Digital Development of Taiwan (currently Ambassador-at-Large), who co-founded a successful IT company at age 16.

The first half of the event featured a kickoff session themed "AI and Future Innovation," led by Sakana AI COO Ren Ito and Audrey Tang. The session explored how AI will transform cities and daily life, discussing the role of startups and new perspectives. Both speakers shared their entrepreneurial philosophies, experiences, and life-changing moments, offering messages for future entrepreneurs and innovators across various fields (details of the messages can be found here ).

During the latter half of the individual mentoring sessions, the three companies mentioned above received mentoring from Mr. Tan.

Representatives from LIGHTz Inc., including President and CEO Mr. Otobe and Executive Officer, CSO and CFO Mr. Kikuchi, participated. They exchanged views with Mr. Tan on the current and future state of solutions leveraging generative AI—including trends shifting from large language models (LLMs) to specialized AI and personal AI, and BrainModel® technology (technology that AI-izes individual thought processes)—as well as the company's growth areas. They also received advice from Mr. Tan.
