Selection of Companies to Receive Support under the FY2023 "Green Startup Support" Program

The Tokyo Consortium is working to promote the formation of a startup ecosystem and to foster the creation and growth of startups through industry-academia-government collaboration. Since fiscal year 2022, it has been promoting initiatives to support green startups.

We are pleased to announce the selection of companies (startups) eligible for Green Startup Support.

1. Overview of Green Startup Support

Green Startup Support is a unique initiative by the Tokyo Consortium that selects startups in rapidly growing green sectors and provides them with intensive support to boost their growth.

Selected companies will receive support from diverse members leveraging the Tokyo Consortium's network, including domestic and international venture capital firms, institutional investors, and experienced startups. This support will focus not only on domestic expansion but also on overseas market entry.

2. Overview of Supported Companies

iROBOTICS, Inc.

【Remote Robotics for Safe Inspection of Hard-to-Reach High Places and Confined Spaces】

  • Providing a "Wall and High-Altitude Work Solution" that enables wall work without scaffolding using wall-adhering robots and winch control.
  • Providing "Analysis and Analytics Solutions" that analyze and interpret data collected during inspections and operations using proprietary AI and software.
  • Providing a "Narrow Space and High-Altitude Inspection Solution" utilizing compact, lightweight micro drones.

  • Development and deployment of rechargeable batteries and circuits, catalysts for depolymerizing waste plastics into monomers, and various adsorbents.
  • Our mission is to contribute to reducing greenhouse gases causing global warming, solving global waste problems including marine plastic pollution, and improving recycling rates through chemical technology.

  • With the vision "Saving the Earth with the Power of Life," we support the creation and sale of carbon credits.

SOINN Co., Ltd.

【Significantly Reduce Plant Power Consumption with Industry-Leading Proprietary AI】

  • The artificial brain SOINN is an AI that utilizes online unsupervised learning methods, characterized by its ability to visualize reasoning behind conclusions and perform transfer learning to other AI systems.
  • Development of AI "E-1" for energy management systems that reduce energy loss and CO2 emissions from power equipment, air conditioning, and other systems.

【Building the Digital Infrastructure for Power in the Carbon-Neutral Era】

  • Development and operation of "Tensor Cloud," a cloud service that supports the financing, development, asset management, and operational optimization of renewable energy power plants and storage batteries through a unified data platform combined with AI technology.
