

Based on the "Basic Approach for the Second-Phase Startup Ecosystem Hub Formation Strategy" published by the Cabinet Office in January 2025, applications were solicited for the second-phase Startup Ecosystem Hub Cities. Following the review process, 13 hub cities were selected (Global Hub Cities: 8 cities, NEXT Global Hub Cities: 5 cities).
Among these, the NEXT Global Hub Cities represent new selections.
The Tokyo Consortium is a startup ecosystem spanning the entire Tokyo metropolitan area, centered on Tokyo.
Established in 2020 to support Tokyo's goal of "Establishing Itself as a 'Startup Ecosystem Global Hub City'," it aims to become a platform that leverages the region's diverse industrial clusters to create new connections.It works to strengthen and nurture the startup ecosystem in a multifaceted and layered manner, supporting the social implementation of innovation, aiming for regional contribution and the sustainable economic development of the Tokyo metropolitan area.
In its second phase, it will continue striving for the further development of the startup ecosystem.
